A Secret?

Every now and then I read Josh Turknett´s newsletter, which comes into my inbox regularly. Lately I received some encouring news. I think it´s worth sharing here:

"A secret that I think many aspiring banjo players would find surprising.

A secret that I wish I'd known sooner.

What's this secret, you ask?

That there is no connection between how hard a tune is to play and how good it sounds.

Hard tunes don't sound better than easy ones.

Easy tunes don't sound worse than hard ones.

Whether it's playing at a show, for friends and family, or posting on YouTube, how much people like something I play has NOTHING at all to do with how hard it is for me to play it."
