When taking the measures of my new banjo -

YES, I got a new one. Sold my cello banjo, added a few bucks and snatched a (rarely played by it´s former owner) 11´´ openback banjo with scooped neck made by Karsten Schnoor in Hamburg:

so when taking the measures of my new banjo and finding that it´s got  a 67 cm = 26,378 ´´ scale I then stumbled over this very informative banjology-site. There you may learn a lot about building and measuring banjos.
